Brown County to lead Ashwaubenon 2025 bicycle and pedestrian plan update; public input, schedule expected in February

Brown County is slated to assist Ashwaubenon with a 2025 update to the village’s comprehensive bicycle and pedestrian plan, and county staff are expected to brief the Bicycle & Pedestrian Committee at its February meeting on schedule and public engagement.

Details from the meeting

- County lead and kickoff: Joel (staff member) said Brown County senior planner Devon Yoder will be the county contact and will come to the committee in February with a proposed timeline and scope. Committee members were told consultants and county staff typically perform much of the technical work, then present draft components for committee feedback.

- Public input: Staff asked the committee to consider how public input should be collected (surveys, open houses, workshops, etc.). Joel and committee members noted Brown County will rely on data provided by the village and on committee assistance to organize outreach.

- Staff liaisons and schedule: Committee staff liaisons were identified as Roxanne or Aaron (staff) to coordinate the village’s support for the process. Staff noted limited capacity in the first half of the second quarter and said they would confirm a practical schedule with Brown County.
