Angel, the Board of Education student member, told the Board, "On behalf of the student body, I'm excited to welcome you all back as we begin a new school year." Angel said student government held its first meeting and that students are particularly pleased to welcome new principal Montemarano, whose leadership is "already helping to re energize the school community."

Angel listed upcoming activities: a club fair on the 15th to help students get involved, a pep rally on the 26th, and the homecoming parade on the 27th at 10 a.m. She also said assemblies would be held the following Monday to review school policies and that fall sports teams are already competing.

The remarks were delivered during the student member report portion of the meeting and were informational. No Board action was requested or taken as a result of the student report.
