County project staff provided an update on the Pulaski County courthouse renovation, saying most work is complete, occupants can begin operations soon, and finishing tasks remain related to two exterior doors, final furniture deliveries and some IT setup for livestream capabilities.
This is important because it affects county operations, meeting space availability and equipment readiness for public meetings.
Project manager Nathan reported there are no new change orders but noted that window and clock inspections might prompt a minor change order depending on findings. He reported a contingency balance of $34,992.50 for the project and said he expects to reallocate a projected $5,000–$7,000 leftover from rent/movers to furniture, fixtures and equipment or contingency if needed. Installing the meeting table is scheduled for Thursday; day-two furniture delivery is expected in a few weeks.
Nathan described steps taken to address building-envelope items and noted that temporary doors are in place for two north-stair exterior entries while permanent doors are pending. He said moving schedules for courthouse occupants are set for Monday and Tuesday of next week and that a ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 5:45 p.m. Friday, with public tours advertised that weekend.
Staff also noted the county’s new website is live and undergoing tweaks; staff will continue testing and address small issues with the developer.
