The East Bethel City Council set its fall town hall meeting for Nov. 13, the council announced during its Aug. 25 meeting, and discussed steps to encourage attendance.

City staff noted the traditional format starts with a gathering at the senior center followed by a question-and-answer session in the council chamber. A council member suggested adding coffee and cookies to improve turnout; staff said they would include refreshments and advertise the date.

Council members reviewed several possible dates and settled on Nov. 13 after checking potential conflicts such as hunting season. Staff will advertise the meeting and coordinate logistics.

No formal action beyond scheduling the date was required.
