Piedmont Community Charter elects new officers; two directors finish six-year terms

At its annual business meeting, the Piedmont Community Charter School Board of Directors recognized two members who completed six-year terms and conducted officer elections and new-seat appointments.
Board members noted that Lisa Largent and Scott Graney had served full six-year terms and, "on behalf of the entire Piedmont Community Charter School family," were thanked for their service in remarks read by Miss Killen. The board cited its bylaws when explaining that members who serve a full six-year term must step off the board for at least one year.
The board voted unanimously to seat LaBarbera Southern to an at-large position and to seat Emily Rogers in the other at-large position. The board also approved a two-year continuation of Malia Mauldin's at-large term. New member Jeremy Gordon was invited to take his seat.
Officer elections were unanimous. The board elected Malia Mauldin as president, Paul Tharp as vice president, Emily Rogers as secretary and LaBarbera Southern as treasurer. The outgoing president said she will step down from the presidency and continue as a regular board member for the coming year.
No roll-call tallies other than unanimous voice votes were recorded in the meeting minutes provided; each motion was approved without recorded opposition.
