At a meeting of the governing body referenced as WILLISTON BASIN 7, members canvassed the June election results and called the roll to record the outcome.

The canvass report presented to the board showed 431 of 486 absentee ballots returned, 1,130 ballots cast on election day and 25 spoiled ballots for a total of 1,561 ballots. A staff member reported, “I have 25 spoil ballots … 431 out of, like, 486 absentee ballots returned. And then we had, 1,130 the day of election … for a total of 1,561.”

The board then conducted a roll-call vote to accept the canvass. Langford called the roll during the vote.
