District staff updated trustees on renovations to the district annex and the Pathways Academy building and outlined a planned move of special‑education offices to the renovated annex.
“Furniture delivery for this building is going the office…All that's gonna be delivered on July 29,” said Miss Cox, reporting on Pathways Academy and annex timelines. Staff said glass has been installed at the Pathways Academy entry vestibule, signage purchase orders were submitted, and furniture deliveries were scheduled for late July.
The annex renovation includes new flooring, carpet installation in progress, new ceiling tiles, fresh paint and a new secure vestibule with glass. Staff said the annex will house special‑education administrative offices and a district training room; it will not house students. “It is not gonna house any students. It is gonna have a full training room that the district will be able to use for any training needs,” Miss Cox said.
Staff noted the annex move is on track for July (with a mid‑July transition mentioned), with fiber connectivity being extended to the campus and final roofing work outstanding. Maintenance staff were credited with the bulk of the annex renovation work; SignPro was named as completing exterior signage and security film installation on the annex.
Trustees discussed timing for a site visit and a planned field trip to review the annex before an August workshop and agreed to meet at the annex before the August 4 workshop.
