Crowley ISD staff demonstrated a new interactive display board system and described a three‑phase installation and training plan intended to put the devices in classrooms by the first day of school.
Bradley Parker, executive director over digital learning, told the board the district expects phase 1 installations to be complete by the first day of classes and listed the campuses included in that phase: Baylor Elementary, Sycamore, Deer Creek and Meadow Creek; H.F. Stevens, Crowley Middle, Summer Creek and Richard Alley middle schools; and North Crowley High School, North Crowley ninth‑grade center and Crowley ninth‑grade center.
Parker described classroom equipment counts and types: elementary classrooms will receive 65‑inch wall‑mounted displays (the presentation cited 182 units); secondary classrooms will receive mounted boards or 86‑inch mobile boards, with three 86‑inch carts already in use for training. He demonstrated basic tools including an Easy Write whiteboard, browser access and handwriting recognition, and showed teachers can save lesson files to a district file area called “AMS files.”
The Digital Learning and Library Services team plans a four‑tier training program: full campus face‑to‑face sessions for phase‑1 staff, on‑demand short remote modules, one‑to‑one scheduled support and regular newsletter tips. Parker showed features such as direct USB‑C connection, wireless presentation, multilingual support and the ability to save lesson artifacts for later use.
Trustees reacted positively; Dr. Robinson said teachers who previously worked without such technology have long awaited it, and another trustee praised the boards’ subject‑agnostic uses. No board action was required or taken; staff said real‑time operational and instructional support will be provided during the school year.
