Weld County to apply for $50,000 mini grant to sustain regional health-assessment collaboration

Weld County health officials told the board they will apply for a $50,000 mini grant to continue a regional collaborative used for the county's community health assessment process.
Jason Cheshire of the Health Department said the Northern Colorado Regional Assessment Collaborative brings stakeholders together to produce data-driven community health assessments and to share findings for planning. Cheshire said the collaborative helps the department focus limited resources on areas of greatest need and recommended the board authorize electronic submission of the grant application to continue the partnership.
Commissioner Scott James moved to approve the resolution to submit the application; Commissioner Annette Peppler seconded. The board approved the application authorization by voice vote. Cheshire said the collaborative was used in the most recent community health assessment and staff seek to continue stakeholder engagement and data dissemination.
