Weld County’s Purchasing Department recommended, and the board approved, awards for white bond paper during the Aug. 18 meeting.

"As advertised, the solicitation is for white bond paper. The lowest bid for 20 pound white bond paper is Staples Contract and Commercial LLC. Their bid for 20 pound white bond in the letter size is $37 per case, in the legal size is $63 per case, and then the tabloid size is 60 is $47 per case with the grand total for $46,795. The lowest bid for the 24 pound bond paper is Quill LLC. The letter size is $41.85 per case with a grand total of $2,218.05. Therefore, the recommendation is to award to each low bidder in those amounts," Toby Taylor with Purchasing said.

Commissioner Kevin Ross asked, "Did we get a quote from Dunder Mifflin?" Taylor replied that the county did not receive a quote from that vendor. The board moved to approve the recommendation and voted to award bid B2500099 to the listed lowest bidders by voice vote.
