The Weld County Board of County Commissioners approved a memorandum of agreement Aug. 18 to acquire property rights for a design-build project on High Plains Boulevard (County Road 9.5). The county will purchase 1.766 acres of right-of-way and 2.109 acres of easements from Mark and Linda Getman for total compensation of $117,800, and the board authorized the chair to sign the agreement (Contract ID 9835).

"We have a memorandum of agreement for the acquisition of 1.766 acres of right of way and 2.109 acres of easements, from Mark and Linda Getman. This property is, midway between Weld County Road 32 And 34, bordering east side of Holt Reservoir. The total, compensation for this acquisition is $117,800," Cameron Parrott of Public Works said during the meeting.

Commissioner Kevin Ross moved to approve Contract ID 9835; Commissioner Jason Maxey seconded. After a brief opportunity for questions, the board voted by voice to approve the contract.

The acquisition is described in the meeting record as necessary for the design-build project on County Road 9.5 between County Roads 32 and 34. No further conditions or amendments to the agreement were recorded in the meeting minutes.
