WELD COUNTY, Colo. — The Weld County Board of Commissioners approved Aug. 4 a personal property tax rebate request from EcoMod LLC and authorized the chair to sign Contract ID 9799.
Cheryl Patelli from county finance presented the request, saying EcoMod identified an existing campus of four buildings in unincorporated Weld County and plans to manufacture, package and distribute landscaping and gardening equipment. Patelli reported the company expects to invest $1,014,000 in equipment and hire 37 full-time employees, with an estimated 70% of those hires residing in Weld County. Based on the equipment investment, finance staff estimated the county’s personal property tax rebate at $11,008.17 over 10 years.
The motion to approve the tax incentive agreement, moved by Commissioner James and seconded by Commissioner Maxey, was recorded as approved. The board did not attach additional stipulations at the meeting; staff indicated the approval would be by resolution and authorized the chair to sign.
The transcript does not include employment verification or a detailed financial projection beyond the figures presented by finance staff; follow-up compliance monitoring was not described on the record.
