WELD COUNTY, Colo. — The Weld County Board of Commissioners voted Aug. 4 to accept an Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG) totaling $73,285 and authorized the Office of Emergency Management to proceed with the grant workflow.
Roy Rudacille, representing the county office of emergency management, told the board the grant application was submitted in December and that the award would support the emergency management office. The board moved to approve Contract ID 9806; the motion, moved by Commissioner Brock and seconded by Commissioner Sutcliffe, passed on a voice vote.
The transcript records the award amount and that staff sought authorization to accept and process the grant. The meeting record does not list a line-item budget for how the funds will be spent; staff-level grant paperwork and implementation details were not read into the record during the meeting.
The board did not attach additional reporting requirements in the meeting and left further grant administration to the emergency management office.
