The Housing Authority Board voted in July 2025 to approve a public-entity and employment-practices liability insurance renewal application, authorize transfer of a State Farm Road property from Weld County to the Greeley Housing Authority, declare a Nissan Rogue vehicle surplus and schedule an Aug. 11, 2025, board meeting to finalize certain held funds.

Board Chair Mary Buck said all five commissioners were present for the meeting. Kelly, a staff member, told the board that last year’s premium was $1,579 and that staff “do not anticipate a large premium increase this go around.” Kelly said staff were seeking “final approval for the chair to sign the [insurance] application” for the renewal covering the Aug. 25 to July 26 renewal period. Commissioner Roth moved to approve Contract ID 9709; Commissioner Maxey seconded the motion, and the board approved it.

In a separate action, a staff member described a transfer document to move a State Farm Road property from Weld County to the Greeley Housing Authority. The staff member said the board had previously approved the transfer and that the agreement had been amended in January 2024. Commissioner Laffey moved to approve the resolution effecting that transfer; Commissioner James seconded the motion and the resolution was approved.

The board also considered a resolution declaring certain equipment surplus and transferring title to the Greeley Housing Authority. A staff member said the item concerned a Nissan Rogue vehicle used by the Greeley Housing Authority for inspections and insurance purposes and recommended approval. Commissioner Jane moved the resolution; Commissioner Robbs seconded it and the resolution was approved.

Finally, Justin Case, a staff member, said staff are working with the Greeley Housing Authority to finalize CPPG funds held in an adjoining account and coordinating on the administrative amount with “Kai.” He asked that the Housing Authority Board schedule a meeting on Aug. 11, 2025, to complete that work. Commissioner James moved to schedule the meeting; Commissioner Matti seconded the motion and the resolution to schedule the meeting was approved.
