Board accepts $1.4 million bid for surplus property, authorizes superintendent to finalize sale

The Birdville ISD board on Aug. 28 accepted a $1,400,000 bid from Sunday Sky Properties for surplus district property and authorized the superintendent or a designee to negotiate and execute a mutually agreeable sales contract.

Trustee Tolbert moved the acceptance and Trustee Davis seconded; the motion passed unanimously. The acceptance was explicit that the sale remains subject to negotiation of a mutually agreeable contract and that the superintendent or a designee is authorized to execute the final sales contract and any related documents on behalf of the district.

No additional terms were recorded on the public record during the meeting; the board’s action authorizes staff to complete the contract negotiations and return with final documentation as required.
