The Weld County Board of County Commissioners moved the agenda item on site selection for a new Weld County Judicial Center and a new Weld County Administration Building to 10 a.m. and agreed to hold a public hearing prior to considering site selection, the board said at a July 2025 meeting.

Commissioner Ross moved to reschedule the item to 10:00 a.m. and to consider a public hearing before the board takes up site selection; Commissioner James seconded the motion, and the board approved it by voice vote. The motion as recorded directs staff to highlight necessary agreements and documents related to the proposed sites in advance of the hearing.

The boards public-comment rules were read aloud: each speaker is limited to a three-minute comment period, the chair will enforce decorum, and the board will not accept comments on matters scheduled for a future public hearing (the chair cited Weld County Code section 2-1-20.a). The meeting recessed for the scheduled break and no public commenters addressed the board during the recorded public-comment window.
