Council Bluffs approves multiple development agreements, subdivision plat and housing tax-incentive applications

The Council Bluffs City Council approved several development-related measures, including final plat approval of a two-lot Canon Subdivision, execution of amended purchase and development agreements with Spin Lofts LLC and We Roost LLC, and authorization of joint applications for workforce housing tax incentives with the Iowa Economic Development Authority.

Council members moved and approved each item by voice vote with no written protests filed for the public hearings. The clerk announced proof of publication on each item prior to the votes.

Canon Subdivision was described in the resolution as a two-lot residential subdivision replatting part of Oak Grove addition and including a portion of vacated Lindbergh Drive. The council voted to grant final plat approval for the two-lot subdivision.

Separately, the council approved a second amended and restated purchase, sale and development agreement between the city and Spin Lofts LLC for conveyance of real property as described in the agenda packet. The council also approved a purchase, sale and development agreement with We Roost LLC for property within the West Broadway Urban Renewal Area; the resolution made a final determination on potential sale of interest in real property and authorized execution of the agreement.

Council members also approved four resolutions authorizing joint applications to the Iowa Economic Development Authority for workforce housing tax incentive program benefits. The voice votes carried the motions; the clerk recorded no written protests and said proof of publication was on file for each hearing.

The council took the actions during the evening meeting with routine procedural motions and no extended public testimony on these items.
