District communications reported that the district replaced its FinalSight website platform with a new platform, Edlio, and that a 42‑month contract was signed in December 2024 for $33,562.50.
Why it matters: The district said the new platform offers more user-friendly content management, customizable templates and a simplified intranet for staff, at a lower monthly cost than the previous platform.
Communications staff told the board that the district began exploring alternatives because of poor customer service and a lack of user friendliness with FinalSight. The team said it evaluated Edlio and Apogee and selected Edlio for its templates, onboarding support and intranet features. The December 2024 contract covers 42 months at a total cost of $33,562.50, which communications said equates to about $799.11 per month compared with a prior cost cited as about $1,951.30 per month for the outgoing vendor.
The communications team also said the district mobile app is being developed on the Adleo platform and is available in both the Apple App Store and Google Play. Communications said school-level website developers and secondary school staff meetings will receive briefings about the new site and app as those rollouts continue.
No board action was recorded on the contract during the meeting; the item was reported as a committee update.
