Council voted Aug. 26 to authorize the borough manager to apply to the Lancaster County Conservation District Low Volume Road Grant Program for work on the lower section of Creek Drive intended to improve stormwater runoff and sediment control.

Manager Rebecca told council the project would narrow the bottom section of Creek Drive, improving stormwater conveyance and sediment control into the adjacent creek while also addressing safety and parking considerations. She said the borough executed a license agreement with Millersville University and included a map and full grant application in the meeting backup.

Rebecca said borough staff and conservation‑district staff have worked closely on the application and that county staff consider the borough a strong candidate for funding. Council approved the motion to submit the application by voice vote.

If funded, the project would focus on the described low‑volume road improvements; council did not take additional votes on contracting or design at this meeting.
