The Westerville City Schools Board of Education voted Aug. 25 to approve a service agreement with Muskingum Valley Educational Service Center to provide orientation and mobility services for students with visual impairments during the 2025–26 school year.

Miss Glass presented the agreement, saying the district is contracting for specialist services because orientation and mobility instruction requires certified providers that are limited in availability. “Due to the highly specialized nature of orientation and mobility services and limited availability of certified providers, we are partnering with Muskingum Valley ESC to ensure we can meet the needs outlined in our students' individualized education plans,” Miss Glass said.

Board members approved the agreement by voice/roll-call vote; administrators said the contract will ensure continuity of services required by students’ IEPs.

No amendments were recorded during the meeting.
