The board approved the personnel consent agenda on Sept. 8, which included nine classified resignations, one licensed-teacher resignation (resigned before starting) and one administrative resignation: Rachel Pinto, the district nurses coordinator. The agenda recommended hires for seven new classified employees and additional substitute lists, prorated contract amendments and supplemental coaching and advisor appointments.

The board also approved two retirements: Deb Asta after 31 years of service and Kim Ayatana, a second-grade teacher at Robert Frost, after 33 years. The personnel presenter, Mr. Reeves, described the range of routine personnel items and noted the district’s effort to ensure correct payments for one-time pays and prorated amendments. The motion to approve the consent agenda passed by roll call at the meeting.
