McCracken County fiscal court awarded Fortiflex the bid for temporary fencing at the Collegiate Sports Park, approving a contract price of $314,309.31 and authorizing the judge executive to sign necessary documents and the treasurer to pay invoices.
The clerk read the order awarding the bid and authorizing contract execution. When asked whether the "temporary" fencing would be reused over time, county staff explained the fencing is a sturdy portable system intended for repeated relocation and multi-field configuration, not a short-lived structure. "It's a very sturdy temporary fence," staff said, adding it will be moved on dollies to convert fields between baseball, softball and soccer configurations.
The court approved the award by voice vote and authorized contract execution in open session. The contract was selected after competitive negotiations and Fortiflex was identified as the low bidder under the procurement process presented to the court.
