McCracken County fiscal court on Aug. 25 adopted the county's 2025 tax rates and approved the rates set by other local taxing boards, including schools, health and several fire districts.
The court recorded the county rate at 0.107 per $100 of assessed real estate value and 0.171 per $100 on tangible property, with a bank-shares rate of 0.025 and a $0 rate on manufactured tobacco, as presented in the reading of rates. The court also recorded the McCracken County Schools rate at 0.518 on real estate and 0.529 on tangible property, and listed rates for multiple fire and service districts, including Concord Fire District at 0.075 and other fire districts at rates ranging from 0.06 to 0.0755 as shown in the transcript reading.
Separate resolutions adopting special ad valorem taxes for the McCracken County Health Department (0.03 per $100) and the McCracken County Mental Health Center (0.0102 per $100, presented in the reading) were also adopted in open session. The court adopted a college-support district rate under Kentucky Revised Statute 165.175 for property outside the Paducah city limits: 0.014 on real estate and 0.013 on tangible property.
The clerk/readings presented the tallied rates and the court approved each resolution by voice vote. No changes to the published schedule of rates were recorded in open session; the court's actions were to receive, record and adopt the taxing districts' rates for 2025.
