Henry County magistrates reviewed candidates for a vacancy on the Board of Adjustments and the court identified Jeremy Chilton as a preferred appointee during Tuesday’s meeting.
A magistrate said Chilton “has a lot of good qualified candidates this time” and that Chilton “is open minded for the things that the county need” and “he's right here on the front row.” The court expressed thanks to Chilton for volunteering. The court then moved to accept the appointment.
Chilton attended the meeting in person; the court did not record a contested vote in the transcript. The appointment will proceed according to the county’s appointment process and any required notices.
