The commission approved the amendment by roll call: Chair Samuels, Vice Chair Plotkin, Commissioner Bagasau and Commissioner Weinberger voted yes; Commissioner Field and Commissioner Lai voted no. Commissioner Moore was absent.

Why it matters: commissioners disagreed about how much detail to include in action minutes. One commissioner sought language calling the prior discussion a "heated discussion" so that the record would reflect the tenor of the meeting. Staff and other commissioners said the commission normally posts action minutes that record final actions and votes rather than narrative or subjective descriptors.
