Court ratifies judge’s signature and accepts 1,580 cubic yards of TxDOT asphalt millings

During the consent agenda, Wichita County Commissioners Court amended item language to authorize ratification of the county judge’s signature on verification letters from the Texas Department of Transportation relating to 1,580 cubic yards of asphalt milling for 2025 and 2026. The court approved the consent agenda as amended 5-0.
Court staff said the county has received the same amount of millings referenced in related consent items and described the TxDOT milling program as beneficial to the county’s maintenance program. The amendment allowed the judge’s prior signature to be ratified because of timing constraints for submission.
The consent agenda also included routine approvals (bills, payroll verification and minutes), each approved as part of the same unanimous consent vote; the transcript reflects the court’s formal 5-0 roll-call acknowledgement.
