Board members also approved a standard intergovernmental agreement with the City of Park Ridge to host community fireworks at Maine East; staff said the agreement matches prior years and noted the district is coordinating with the park district because track replacement work may affect logistics. The board approved a facility waiver request enabling the Park District to use district facilities for a wrestling program at Havens; presenters said the partnership has benefited high school programs, including wrestling.
On the Colfax contract, staff explained the bid included an allowance for unforeseen asbestos conditions; any unused allowance is returned and reduces the final contract value. The board recorded aye votes for all listed motions during roll call.
