The Lincoln Way Board of Education approved a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the teachers’ association to permit four additional early‑release professional development days, in addition to existing early‑release days such as the day before Thanksgiving and the day before spring break. The MOU language will remain in place for the life of the current collective bargaining agreement through June 30, 2029.
District staff said the MOU clarifies definitions and times and is intended to provide teachers additional collaborative time. The MOU was described as detailed in its definitions and schedules. After brief discussion, the board voted unanimously to approve the MOU as presented.
