The Ward County Commission approved multiple administrative items on June 17, including pay amendments, a contract authorization, and several permits.
Human Resources Director Nichole Degenstein presented pay amendments for several employees in county departments, and the commission approved the pay amendments on a roll-call vote. The commission also voted to allow the chairman to sign a contracted services agreement between North Dakota State University and Ward County. A raffle permit for the Minot Association of Builders was approved.
The commission removed the Gaming Site Authorization for the Minot VFW Post 753 from the table and approved the Gaming Site Authorization. The commission also discussed a filming request from CASO Closet and voted to add that item to the July 1 meeting agenda so Jolene Hafner, director of CASO Closet, can appear. Theresa and Cory Nielsen, owners of the Hunter's Den in Foxholm, requested that those under 21 be allowed in the bar for the purpose of consuming a meal; the commission approved that request pending license review by the State's Attorney.
All motions related to these administrative items passed by roll-call votes recorded in the meeting minutes.
