The Dunn County Board of Commissioners approved several contractor pay estimates and received project updates from county engineers.

Engineering staff recommended payment of pay estimate No. 1 to Schwartz Construction for the 20 Seventh Street project in the amount of $267,517.78; Commissioner Pelton moved to approve and Commissioner Heizer seconded. The board approved the payment on a roll call vote.

The board also approved payment of pay estimate No. 4 to Jensen Brothers Construction for 90 Seventh Avenue in the amount of $986,017.34 after a motion from Commissioner Pelton and a second from Commissioner Heizer. Commissioners received project updates that Jensen Brothers is progressing and that utility coordination has been conducted.

Bronco Brothers was awarded and is set to begin at other road sites; the board approved Bronco Brothers’ pay estimate No. 6 in the amount reported in the meeting. Highlands Engineering reported a pay estimate No. 5 of $77,353.02 for Edward H. Schwartz Construction on Fourteenth Street Southwest; the board approved that pay estimate after staff recommendation.

Engineers summarized schedules for multiple road projects and said some upcoming bids and preconstruction meetings are planned for late summer; staff emphasized weather and utility coordination as schedule factors. The payments approved were consistent with engineer recommendations and were recorded by roll call votes.
