The Dunn County Board of Commissioners awarded the 3T Avenue SW construction contract to Wind Construction following a public bid opening and staff recommendation.

At the bid opening, county staff recorded three bids: Wind Construction — $1,580,584.97 (low bid); Wagner Construction Inc. — $1,861,829.00; and Knife River Corporation — $2,073,428.50. Engineering staff recommended Wind Construction as the lowest responsive bidder.

Jeremy (engineer) told the board Wind Construction’s bid was below the county estimate. Commissioner Pelton moved to award the contract to Wind Construction for $1,580,584.97; Commissioner Clayman (Clayman/Clayman variant in transcript) seconded. The board approved the award on a roll call vote.

Jeremy said he will review bid documents and return appropriate contract paperwork for signature and construction scheduling. The board thanked bidders and directed staff to prepare the contract for execution.
