Commission approves $63,000 ULE grant request from Grand Sky for TrueWeather system upgrades

Vanport County commissioners approved a $63,000 request from Grand Sky from the 2023 ULE fund on Sept. 2 to support continued operation and upgrades of the airport’s TrueWeather system.
A commissioner recused from the discussion and vote before the board took action; the remaining commissioners voted to approve the funding request on voice vote. Staff said the funds will be used to keep the TrueWeather system operational and support incremental upgrades used for flight operations.
No further conditions or matching funds were imposed at the meeting; staff will process the invoice and implement the approved payment.
