Stacy Jenkins, representing Taking it to the Street 601, told the Meridian City Council the ministry will hold an outreach event in the Oakland Heights area on Sept. 20 starting at 11 a.m., offering free food, praise music and prayer.

Jenkins said the group plans to give away hamburgers and hot dogs, distribute Bibles, pray for residents and perform praise music as part of a community unity event. Jenkins said she had spoken with Rose Walker and hopes to partner with Freedom Rock for the outreach.
