Charlton County authorizes extension to place officers in schools with cost-of-living clause

The Charlton County Board of Commissioners on June 5 authorized County Administrator Glenn Hull to execute an intergovernmental agreement with the Charlton County School District to place officers at county schools; the agreement extends the current arrangement and adds a cost-of-living increase clause. County Administrator Glenn Hull discussed the agreement and said it extends the current agreement for the school year and includes a cost-of-living increase clause. Commissioner Drew Jones moved to authorize Hull to execute the intergovernmental agreement; Commissioner James Everett seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. The minutes do not include the dollar amount of the cost-of-living adjustment or the number of officers covered under the agreement.
