The board welcomed Megan Dawson as the district's new dean and athletic director; board materials said she has been with the district seven years, five years at the junior high and the last two years at the high school and has served as JV girls basketball head coach.
Coaching hires introduced included Riley McClurg to lead the wrestling program and Miles Ware for the men's basketball program; administrators described McClurg and Ware's coaching backgrounds and prior roles. The personnel report also listed dozens of summer-school and extracurricular recommendations and a slate of certified resignations.
Board action: a board member moved to approve the personnel report; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. Administrators said they would continue to hire as needed and return names at the next regular board meeting if additional hires are required before the school year ends.
