The Greenfield-Central School Board voted to accept a construction bid from McDougall and Pierce Construction Inc. for a package of projects west of Greenfield Central High School, including tennis courts, a parking lot and a storage building.
District staff said four contractors submitted bids and recommended McDougall and Pierce based on experience in the Central Indiana area. "They seem to be a good contractor with lots of experience around the Central Indiana area," a staff member said. The presentation noted that work could begin "shortly after approvals."
Board action: a board member moved to accept the bid and a second was recorded; the board then voted "aye" and the motion passed. No start date beyond "shortly after approvals" was specified at the meeting.
The construction report also updated gymnasium-flooring work at the high school, noting that wood flooring and striping were complete and that the space is expected to be usable for an event on May 31.
Staff said project summaries and bid details are in the board packet; the board approved the recommendation and asked staff to begin contract steps.
