The Lawrenceville City Council approved an ordinance amending Article 1 (districts/use table), Article 2 (supplemental and accessory use standards) and Article 10 (definitions) of the City of Lawrenceville Zoning Ordinance 2020 on Sept. 22. Todd Hargrave, director of planning and development, presented the changes and answered council questions. The public hearing was opened and, hearing no public comment for or against, the council closed the hearing and approved the ordinance. Mayor Pro-Tem Victoria Jones made the motion to adopt the amendments; Council Member Marlene Taylor-Crawford seconded. The vote was unanimous. City staff characterized the amendments as updates to the use table and clarifications to accessory use standards and definitions; the transcript does not include the full text of the ordinance changes. The amendments will take effect according to the ordinance’s specified effective date and will change how certain uses and accessory activities are regulated under the zoning code.
