The City Council declared a 2011 Ford F‑150 a surplus asset and authorized its disposal by auction.

City staff said the truck no longer runs, is parked near an old church, and has been out of service for years; staff described it as a former meter‑reader truck that had high use and multiple drivers. Staff said the city would attempt to sell the vehicle through a government auction vendor or accept an offer for parts and scrap if no buyer appears. During discussion staff said they had a potential offer of roughly $1,000 for the vehicle’s parts.

The surplus declaration and direction to dispose of the vehicle by auction were included in the consent agenda and approved by council.
