Dr. Brandon Penrod, chief financial officer for Fairfield Community Schools, presented the July month-end financial report and provided an overview of the district’s 2026 budget workshop during the Aug. 14 meeting.

Penrod presented budget assumptions and the workshop overview to the board; no formal action or vote on the 2026 budget occurred at the meeting. Dr. Penrod’s presentation immediately followed the superintendent’s opening remarks and preceded consent and action items on the agenda.

Board members did not request or record a motion related to adoption of the 2026 budget at this session; the item was presented for review as part of the district’s regular budget process.
