HSAC staff: county budget likely to maintain CDHS contract funding; agencies must submit final CY2024 reports

Sabrina Hand, HSAC coordinator, told the council that the county budget process is underway and "it appears likely that most of the contracts funded through the CDHS will remain funded at CY 2024 levels. However, there is always the possibility that funding levels may be modified as the budget process moves forward." Hand asked any agency funded with county dollars through the HSAC that has not yet submitted its final report for CY 2024 to do so as soon as possible so the HSAC office can close those contracts.
Separately, Program Review Committee chair Judy Kunec reported that the contract renewal process for county‑funded programs administered by HSAC has been completed and agencies have received their 2025 executed contracts; one agency remains noncompliant with renewal requirements and CDHS administration is addressing that issue.
The HSAC packet and committee reports were accepted by motion at the meeting; there was no separate formal action tied specifically to budget allocations. HSAC staff said any changes to county contract funding would be finalized through the county budget process and through CDHS administration.
HSAC members were reminded that once meeting minutes are approved by the council they are posted on the Cape May County website and that staff will continue to provide updates as the budget process progresses.
