Bridge Commission unanimously approves consent resolutions, authorizes indemnities for May 10 bike rides

The Cape May County Bridge Commission unanimously approved Resolutions 25-3776 through 25-3781 at its April 17 regular meeting, with Secretary/Treasurer Maryanne K. Murphy moving each action and Vice Chairman Scott Halliday seconding.

The recorded consent items included: Resolution 25-3776 authorizing the chairman to sign the officer's certificate; 25-3777 certifying monthly deposits in the revenue account for March 2025; 25-3778 approving a ceiling amount for payments of health benefits and payroll expenses between Bridge Commission meetings; and two indemnification resolutions — 25-3779 authorizing execution of an indemnification agreement with Honor 37/Law Enforcement United for a group bike ride on May 10, 2025, and 25-3780 authorizing an indemnification agreement with Police Unity Tour Chapter 2 for a group bike ride on May 10, 2025. The final consent resolution, 25-3781, authorized the board to hold a meeting excluding the public on April 17, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. or as soon thereafter as practicable.

A motion to open public comment on the consent agenda was moved by Murphy and seconded by Halliday; the commission closed public comment and approved the listed resolutions by the same motion. The minutes of the March 20, 2025 regular monthly meeting and payment of the bills were each approved earlier in the meeting on motions moved by Murphy and seconded by Halliday and were recorded as unanimously approved. There were no public comments recorded during the meeting.

The approvals were procedural and administrative; no objections or abstentions were recorded.
