Commission reports All-Electronic Tolling fully operational; ticket buyback reimburses $24,939.60

At the May 29 meeting, the Cape May County Bridge Commission reported that All-Electronic Tolling (AET) is fully operational as of May 11, 2025 and that the commission has completed an AET ticket-buyback program that returned 20,783 tickets and reimbursed $24,939.60. Executive Director Kevin Lare reported the commission generated its first toll bill following activation of the system.
Commission staff also reported completion of front-plate camera installation at all bridges and replacement of signage to reflect "E-ZPass or Toll By Plate Only." The ticket-buyback total and equipment and signage updates were listed in the commission's monthly report.
