After an executive session, the Tomball City Council approved reappointment and contract renewals for municipal court positions.
City staff reported the council reappointed associate judges to two‑year contracts covering Aug. 7, 2025, through Aug. 6, 2027, and approved renewals of their contracts. The council also approved renewal of the chief prosecutor Grama Stevens’ contract to continue through Sept. 30, 2026, and approved a two‑year appointment and contract for an associate prosecutor. All three actions were approved by unanimous 5-0 votes.
Thomas (staff) introduced the items following executive session; council took recorded votes on each contract renewal and appointment. Staff did not announce the names of the associate judges at the public meeting during the motion, and council did not discuss changes to terms or compensation in public session.
These appointments and renewals were handled in executive session as authorized under the Texas Open Meetings Act for personnel matters; the council returned to open session and voted on the contracts.
