Tomball EDC reports two land purchases, proposes $3 million for Legacy Square in FY26 budget

Tomball Economic Development Corporation staff told the city council at a joint workshop that the EDC closed on two strategic properties totaling 45.75 acres to support the South Live Oak redevelopment and proposed a fiscal year 2026 budget that would fund final design and operations for Tomball Legacy Square. The EDC presentation also outlined project grants, property requests and debt-service costs that the corporation said the city and EDC will continue to coordinate. "This is probably the the most exciting that we've been involved in, the past couple of weeks," said Kelly, TEDC staff, introducing aerial maps of the recently acquired sites. "We purchased that for, just over 2,400,000.0, and we closed on August 22."
