Christian, a staff member, said the restroom project is still under construction and that, based on contract timelines, it should be finished "very, very quick" and hoped to be done by the end of the year.
Committee members said the shed's current placement blocks the garden and is not ideal. One committee member asked staff to consult with the city manager and the fire department about a new location. The group suggested moving the shed about 10 feet away from a vent and the new restroom and "slide down where it was" so it would blend in with the building; a member urged a better, more permanent base than cinder blocks because construction will soften surrounding soil. "We could work on that. It's all funding," a staff speaker said.
Separately, Christian said the tool-share program has tools available but he had not heard from program coordinators (Nathan or Elizabeth) about assignments; he said he did not know whether anyone is participating and that tools must be assigned through the library. No formal decisions were recorded; members asked staff to follow up with the city manager, fire department and office staff about shed placement, permanent base options and current budget for any improvements.
