At the Aug. 4 meeting the Coweta City Council selected Jeremy Barnett as Vice‑Mayor under Title 1, Chapter 7A‑2 of the Coweta Code of Ordinances and appointed Donald Vieth to the Ward 2 council seat to fill an unexpired term.

City Manager Julie Casteen led the administrative items. The council voted unanimously to select Barnett as Vice‑Mayor. On the Ward 2 appointment, the council voted unanimously to appoint Donald Vieth to the seat; the unexpired term extends to June 1, 2028, as recorded in the meeting minutes.

Both actions were adopted by motion and recorded roll call; no additional conditions or discussion items were recorded for the appointments.
