The Kennedale Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval Thursday of a replat dividing property at 625 Grapevine Trail so each commercial building sits on its own lot. The decision came after staff told the commission the submitted replat met city requirements and no members of the public spoke on the item.
City staff presented the proposal to the commission and said the owner wants to separate existing metal commercial buildings — described in staff remarks as “pole barns” — onto individual lots, likely to allow sale or lease of individual units. “We’ve reviewed it, meets all city requirements. And with that, we recommend approval of the replat at 625 Grapevine Trail,” Nathan, a city staff member, told the commission.
Commissioners moved and seconded a recommendation for approval and approved the item by voice vote; no roll-call tally was recorded on the transcript. The public hearing was opened and closed at 6:03 p.m. with no speakers signed up.
The replat establishes property lines for existing structures; any future changes (such as new construction or changes in use) will be subject to separate permit and code reviews by staff and the fire department as applicable.
The commission moved immediately to the next item following the vote.
