The Coweta City Council on July 7 adopted Resolution 2025-19 to accept certain roads and related infrastructure for the Coweta Trails II subdivision as dedicated public improvements. Community Development Director Carolyn Back led the discussion and presented the final plat details included in the resolution.
Resolution 2025-19 accepts improvements shown on the final plat for Coweta Trails II, located in Section 35, Township 18 North, Range 15 East, of the Indian Base and Meridian, Wagoner County, Oklahoma. The council voted to approve the resolution (motion by Naomi Hogue, second by Caroline Martin) and the motion carried with Naomi Hogue, Caroline Martin, Joshua Wilburn, Lauren Givan and Jeremy Barnett voting aye.
By accepting the infrastructure as dedicated public improvements, the city formally assumes responsibility for those roads and related public improvements shown on the final plat. The meeting record does not include a maintenance schedule, warranty period or funding details for future upkeep; those matters may be managed through separate agreements or the city’s public works procedures.
The acceptance completes a formal step in the subdivision platting process and allows the city to include the accepted infrastructure in its inventory of public streets and improvements.
