Bullitt County Fiscal Court appointed Jeremy Willis to the Bullitt County Parks and Recreation Board, with a term expiring June 30, 2027. The appointment was moved by Magistrate Shaun Logsdon, seconded by Magistrate Brian Bleemel, and approved unanimously at the July 15 meeting.
Magistrate Karen Johnson reported the county had received bids for restroom renovations at Maryville Pool but said she wanted only minimal work now — the installation of two doors and a concrete sidewalk entrance to allow restroom use during disc golf tournaments. The court agreed to place a new bid request limited to those tasks.
Magistrate Bleemel said the newly created Board of Parks and Recreation needs to meet and noted that Keith Griffee would like to meet with board members about a brownfield property in Pryor Valley that could be repurposed. No funding decision or contract award for the pool work was made at the meeting; the minutes record only the direction to rebid the narrowed scope.
