The City of Grove Convention and Tourism Bureau unanimously approved the minutes of its May 22 regular meeting and its monthly financial reports during a July 24 meeting.
Greg Ware made a motion to approve the May 22 minutes, Ileta Bray seconded, and the motion "carried 5-0," according to the meeting record. Brad Wisdom moved to approve the monthly financial reports, Ware seconded, and that motion also "carried 5-0." Wisdom later moved, and Ware seconded, to adjourn; that motion carried 5-0 and the meeting ended at 2:44 p.m.
During the staff report, Brent Malone, CTB director, reviewed upcoming events and fishing tournaments; the meeting record does not include event names, dates or budgets. In board reports, Ileta Bray said she is "very close" to revealing a new client who may open a new business but provided no additional details. Brad Wisdom reported that the Grove Best Western TimberRidge Inn received the M.K. Guertin Award, described in the minutes as "one of the highest honor awards given by Best Western Hotels & Resorts."
